Twinkling lights, snowflakes hanging, and bows dancing on the winter night—the Winter Fantasy concert was filled with holiday cheer and festive excitement. The holiday season kicked off with a bang, with performances by Hough’s Chorus, Dance, Band, and Orchestra, giving the crowd a show to remember.

The spectacle began with a wonderful joint performance by the Orchestra’s quintet and the chorus playing and singing “Christmas Canon” in union. The show continued with the chorus performing and the band playing selected holiday-themed pieces such as “ Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas”. The Hough Dance performed a beautiful ballet and wonderfully exuberant presentation. Mal, a dancer, explained her involvement in the Winter Fantasy and the impact on her holidays. “It's making me really happy…I get to share my passion for dance with others.” The Winter Fantasy and performing arts of Hough bring people together as Ryn, a member of the tech crew working on the Winter Fantasy fan dangle, said, “It made me excited because it got me in a winter mindset…it has been a rough year so the holiday excitement has lifted my spirits a lot…it has been inspiring.”
The joyous atmosphere continued throughout the night, ending with a delightful performance from the Orchestra. Songs played included “A Charlie Brown’s Christmas,” a jubilant tune. Enveloping the night in a harmonious conclusion was “Peace, Peace,” played with a tranquil chorus hymn. It was truly a magical winter night.
